If you can manage to ignore them for a while longer, say nothing more and quietly have the trailer towed at your earliest opportunity. As soon as you see this neighbor, be ready to say "Thank you so much for moving your trailer, I really appreciate it." - before he can say anything to you. Then have fun watching how he responds to that. I hate to say it, but it sounds like pretty much the entire clan has a substance abuse problem to be acting the way you describe.

Anyway, I've actually done this before, and the guy played dumb and told me "Oh yeah, no problem I've been really busy lately and got behind on my projects". I never had anymore problems with the guy, but he moved like a couple months later.

Code enforcement would be my approach, illegal habitation of the garage, operating a business in an area not zoned for it, operating a business without a license, noise violations etc. etc. Code enforcement can be pretty creative when they want to be and then Code Enforcement can co-ordinate with other agencies as they see fit.

Another vote for code enforcement here. Not quite criminal but borderline/annoying?/ That's Code Enforcements bread and butter. Garage conversion, occupied trailer coach, noise violation, home occupation are the phrases your looking for.

I would just move. Life is too short to deal with this crap.

Another vote for code enforcement. Even better if they give the code officer a hard time. No one is more CS than a pissed-off inspector!

Judges usually don’t like issuing R/Os for neighbors, but it happens.

You also should be calling your PD about those noise complaints especially if you’re being woken up. Lends you more credence when looking to get that R/O.
You’ll want 3 distinct incidents of the person specifically targeting you without provocation to get a permanent injunction on most cases.

Also, be prepared for the idiot to illegally file a reciprocal TRO agains you, in which case you have somewhere between 24 and 72 hrs (I forget how long) to relieve yourself of all your firearms and it’s specified that you give then to the PD property room which requires a COE to get them back or selling them to a FFL.

You can gift them to a relative or drop them off at a gunsmith for cleaning prior to being served your TRO but once served, turn them in or sell them are your only options.

                    Or just park somewhere else.

While I do not disagree with much of the above advice, keep in mind that even if you win, they are still your neighbors, and unless you plan on moving, it can certainly get worse. Are you sure you want to escalate the issue.

Maybe some sort of "peace" offering would be effective.

Why not? Probably cost some money, but would be worth it to me to not deal with it.

Do you know how code informant gets lead? Well, one way is they tell whomever they are investigating who reported them. I’ve seen it when a similar situation I had a decade ago, (considered portions of public parking on the street “his”) was irate that they had to fix their illegal water heater after calling code enforcement on me.

If you have a home that’s more than just a few years old, you have code violations. Replace a garbage disposal or toilet without a permit? Change out a switch for a dimmer? Repair a drywall hole bigger than 1/4”? Change out a light fixture or a fan without a permit? Anyone who ever owned the house before you do any of those things? You’re in violation. There’s no “grandfathering” violations when the title changes to the property.

I ended up moving, I heard from an old neighbor 5 years later the guy was still blaming his life on me.

Moving was great. Life is good!

                              Or, just park someplace else.

Had a similar issue with neighbors illegal garage conversion. 12 bunk beds I could count. Basic 2x4 construction . One guy who "lived " there would pull a similar deal park a large unregistered trailer in front of my house making it impossible to get out of the driveway safely. One night his trailer disappeared. And ended up at a parking ride. Not sure how.
