In that video- the man could have 1- beat her with the gun on a lanyard 2- shot her with the gun on the lanyard

She also could not have run away as he would be holding her leash.

The mag drop was an option
Leaving him with a gun and no magazine. That is why LEo lawyers love the loaded mag disconnect.
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

          Haha exactly.

Horrible idea. And no lanyard I've ever seen would survive a tug of war anyway.

I could see using a lanyard in sea or snow operations.

There were some comments (not on Calguns) as to why he didn't just run him down. That's what I thought he was planning on doing. Thankfully she is alive. Hopefully she will reassess and perhaps some training (Krav Maga?)

                      Both good answers, thank you.
