BASE jumping is one of the most dangerous recreational activities in the world, with a fatality and injury rate 43 times higher than parachuting from a plane. As of 14 October 2017, the BASE Fatality List maintained by Blincmagazine.com records 328 deaths for BASE jumping since April 1981.

I mean...someone has to be fodder for the Darwin Awards. I guess we can all appreciate the fact that they record their activity for our entertainment.

You can't come on a forum and ask how LEO would react to an illegal activity and then get your panties in a bunch when they respond.

...and don't try the "base jumping is legal" approach because if the jump you are/were thinking about was legal...why would you question how LEO would react to it? You wouldn't...

Uhh. Where did I say I do criminal things? You know BASE jumping is legal at certain places. I'm pretty certain these comments aren't only referring to doing it objects that entail trespassing.

Lets see.........

You are driving down a road in the country and see a couple people parachuting off an electrical tower into an open field. What do you do? Warn them, have a friendly chat with them out of curiosity, or ticket them? If you ticket them, what would you ticket them for?

I'm not aware of any power transmission company that gives people permission to base jump off of their electrical towers.

A morbid joke whats that!! I was an infantrymen in Afghanistan and I worked along side with civilian LE for several years. Morbid jokes when we're cleaning up brains or cutting down a suicide victims amongst each other are different than telling a stranger I hope you die and I'll find it funny. If you seriously would enjoy watching someone die parachuting then yes, sorry I am morally superior, and I'll gladly gallop into the sunset on my high horse with a smile.
