I'm not a LEO. I'm a 2nd A activists, with my main focus on getting more law abiding folk CA CCWs so they can defend themselves.
To that end, I spent significant time and effort recently contacting people who got CCWs from the Contra Costa County SO. I got a ton of information and turned it into a thread, with the first 3 posts (esp the first 2), with advice for applicants. I've gotten positive feedback, but just realized I should ask our CGN LEOs who have "insiders" info/perspective for their feedback, to see if there's anything I got wrong, missed, should rephrase, should elaborate, etc.
While the thread was originally advice only for CoCoCo SO applicants, I see that most of it applies for applicants to the other non-green counties in the CA CCW GC map.
