I see the Gonzales 415 carried by one or two Deps every time I stop into an LASD station. I carried one daily when I worked a patrol assignment. They’re still out there..... I believe Long Beach PD still is authorized to carry them too.

Yes....in addition to LASD, Long Beach PD and the San Diego SD are still authorized to carry the Sap. That’s the only ones left that I know of. We will see for how much longer! Heard the current LASD sheriff was not a fan and was considering banning them but he looks like he’s on his way out. San Diego SD carries the standard Sap, not the Gonzales style. Long Beach PD I have seen both styles carried. LASD just the Gonzales style per policy.
