bad experience buying back up revolver

Today was the worst experience I have ever had trying to buy a gun. Long story short, I walk in to store to Dros firearm and upon inspecting it I find out it's poorly built. Store decided to ship firearm back to manufacture for replacement. Went today to Dros replacement and upon inspecting it, The cylinder stuck and was difficult to come out. The salesman had an attitude with me the whole time and said he saw nothing wrong with the firearm without actually touching it.

I kinda got the vibe that he was anti law enforcement and a big Adam Henry. I told him the release and cylinder is not working properly and it was not functioning normal. I was telling him that this was not acceptable but he didn't even care to hear it. The store was empty also so it wasn't like he was having a busy day. I placed the firearm back on the table and told him I wasn't buying it. I asked for the photo copy of my credential and personal information back.

Has anyone ever been treated like this at a local gun store? I'm not buying anything from them anymore.

Most likely the store was stuck with that POS and couldn't sell it to the general public. They figured they had a sucker with you once you bought it. So you would be stuck with that crap.

Smart move walking out and taking your cred copy and info the shop sounds sketchy..

So both, the first and second one that the store got for you were bad?
Are you willing to let us know which brand and model it was?
Sucks that the LGS clerk was a pain to deal with. I'd figure he'd be responsive to bad merchandise coming from a gun manufacturer. And would think there would be not issue with returning it again.

Could you have possibly left out any more information?

I was at the Turner's store in Rancho Cucamonga yesterday. I've given them A LOT of gun purchases. I usually tolerate their dumb attitude but a yesterday, I decided to take my business elsewhere. Dan the Manager is pretty cool, but there's one young dude with a lot of missing teeth who is down right rude and a smart ***. There's no rapoire or decent customer service. So no more business for them.

Yes both the first gun and second gun were defective. The first gun had an out of spec barrel, second gun had a a release and cylinder problem. The cylinder was stuck when pressing the release. The replacement was worst than the first. I was trying to buy a 642 performance center talo revolver. I have owned a 442 regular version and did not have any of those problems. I did not expect this from a revolver that was a step up from a regular revolver

Not over purchasing a firearm no, any shop that hands me a defective pistol twice without inspecting it loses my business.

Turners in Corona is why I usually go for my gun purchases. there is one heavy set younger guy in there that has debated a few things with me (tried to tell me they have never kept anything in the back but fullfill orders to which I pointed out that hes been working there for 4 years and I have been shopping there for 12

Beyond that they have never given me a bad experience and have rarely ever said anything stupid in front of me.

I tend to keep my business at LE store only. Adamsons and Proforce are my first stops before going into a general gun store.

I have learned from this horrible service to LEOs in general gun stores. I will now only buy my firearms from LEO dealers and Pro LEO friendly vendors.

I had a S&W revolver which I had send back to re-crown it. I do not have that revolver anymore.

So true. I think the M&P is crap too. Not only has S&W gone to the toilet, but Kimber, Sig and Marlin (Remington) have deteriorated in QC as well. It's as if the gun makers all make their guns solely on Mondays.

A LGS, which is out of business now, manager say I can not have a police discount because he did get a discount or a break on a speeding ticket he got.

Another LGS, out of business too, had a clerk that was a big time cop wannabe. Once he found out I was LEO he told me how LAPD, LASD, CHP and everyone else would not hire him because he was a white male.
