this guaranteed comradery that gun owners think they share with anyone who wears a uniform is ridiculous. sure, there are cops who are gun enthusiasts (i've bought from and sold to 3 individuals here on cg who are cops), but there love for guns is irrelevant to their job, which is the enforcement of laws for their respective municipalities.

at the end of the day, outside of their job, they're independent individuals. individuals, who voted for hillary, hate guns, love guns, like karaoke, play ping pong, etc. the same goes for people in the military.

for these reasons, i cant help but rejoice every time they get killed. lol its funny (in a sad way), you know things are bad when "blm" is the closest thing today to the the militia of the revolutionary war who killed the red coats, and george soros is closest thing we have to general lafayette.

Yup. Quite a few of those floating around here. Sad, really, this forum has showed me that progunners are just as narrow minded, ignorant and hateful as the left. I no longer feel any kinship towards fellow gun owners nor have any interest in associating with them.

How's the saying go? The more people I meet the more I like my dog?
Urban legends are a poor basis for making public policy.

I've admittedly bought and sold to several different people here. Fortunately most were C&R before the need for registration so there was no need to reveal anything about myself at the time. Now, I go through every individual post someone has submitted before deciding whether to deal with them; and even then I'm usually standoffish. Scary world we live in. People are just crazy no matter their background or beliefs.

I can tell you that 50% of the new kids coming into this field (at least for my department) don't care about anything other than the paycheck. They will blindly follow whatever our masters on high tell them to do as long as they get to work day shift with the weekends off oh and most of the holidays...

Few care about the constitution or "rights" and are just focused on what are you going to do for me...

It makes me weep some days...

That sounds familiar, but you left out a couple things. They deserve to be sergeants in less than 5 years, can't find anything on their own unless it's a dui or an 11550 arrest, can't find the majority of streets in town without a GPS unit.

I could go on for 10 paragraphs about my department and "what" we're sending into the field. You know, we were all the "New Breed" at one time. We all heard stories from the Old Salts about the "hot years" and how screwed up "you new breeds" are . But I must say, after analyzing myself as a puppy, this new generation scares the hell out of me.

The minimum standard is WAY below where it should be for "Police 101" to take place. Containments, broadcasts, report writing, court testimony etc etc are all in the tank.

The worst thing about all the above is that the ability to effectively supervise and effect change is now gone. The "New Breed" knows all the protective policies, that have swung all the way left, have castrated every able bodied supervisor to "check them" in fear of an investigation. I hate to say it, but our profession is doomed.

Well then, that makes those supervisors just as weak and pathetic as the management. What the hell ever happened to standing up for what is right?

I've been called worse. And I can assure you I'm anything but. If you want to discuss in person how weak and pathetic I am, feel free to PM me.

I take care of my two teams like they are my own children. Many of the Millennials will cost me my job or at least an IA and with a few years left, they aren't worth it. You call it weak and pathetic, I call it career survival and smart.

                    20 bucks says your retired.

                    I'll wait for the PM.

Frank8097 no longer appears on the member list. I reported his comments and he got vanished.

It's member like that who keep me from going to CalGuns events or contributing money to CGF after comments by Bwise a while back supporting the killing of narcotics officers.

Bweise has recently expanded his support of mass murder of narcotics officers to include supporting "the machine gunning of all state employees".

I've got the screen shot around here somewhere.
