EMT/Paramedic/Firefighter/SAR...where do we post?

How sad. I valued my EMT partners, they made me look good. The very best EMT's are one step ahead of their Paramedic. They are both EQUALS, just different skill sets.

Any Paramedic who balks at the above let them know which way the sun sets and fire them as a partner.

Down here things are definitely different. The running joke is EMT stands for Empty Medic Trash. We were used as manual labor and treated like academy recruits by some. The issue is OCFA is a large agency and has a lot of south county douche bags that think they are better than everyone. Those were the prolific offenders that treated EMTs like dirt. On the other I met some of the best captains and medics working in seal beach. We were always welcome at their station and we were in the dinner cooking rotation. Ever so often we would get an overtimer from a south county station and they would question our existence in their holy temple of a station that we weren't worthy of. It was always funny when the capt would put them in their place. Anyway, it's not a very good work environment to make $10.23 an hour (my actual wage after 4 years).
