If there is a increase in forged federal agency creds then Proforce will be the company blamed for providing the copies for the forgers..

Just a bit of a stretch there...
If you buy anything because it has "tactical" or "operator" in the name, we probably don't run in the same circles.

I'm never going back to Proforce, I'm sure they don't care but they just lost a 10+ year customer for life.

Well, filed a complaint with Cal DOJ firearms bureau, we'll see what happens.

Not really must of a stretch. Because if they are not careful with the copies of the creds and they have a data breech.. the copies which were "safe" are no longer safe.

Remember that criminals take a lot of stuff.. the more intelligent ones just take the guns.. but as they did in the original Red Dawn.. look for the 4473's..

They have the addresses of all gun owners and guns they own when they filled out that 4473.

Easier to rob a house than a gun store..

So, when the criminals (or Russian paratroopers) break into the gun store they'll take the 4473's so they can then go to the houses of armed police officers and take their guns?

Even the Glock Blue Label program advises to use their credential affidavit. No where do they require a copy of the ID.

Hey Feds, any update on Proforce? Has DOJ-BOF beaten them into submission yet?

Local LEO's have been having their creds photocopied since forever when buying firearms and magazines.

Local LEO's can have their creds copied..
There is a Federal Law prohibiting the copying of Federal Creds.

                          18 USC 701

Whoever manufactures, sells, or possesses any badge, identification card, or other insignia, of the design prescribed by the head of any department or agency of the United States for use by any officer or employee thereof, or any colorable imitation thereof, or photographs, prints, or in any other manner makes or executes any engraving, photograph, print, or impression in the likeness of any such badge, identification card, or other insignia, or any colorable imitation thereof, except as authorized under regulations made pursuant to law, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than six months, or both.

Proforce isn't the only place and it is coming from Sacramento. Cal DOJ is advising gun shops that ALL Federal LEO credentials must be copied to buy a firearm or get an exemption. This came from another gun shop who is no where near proforce and is very LE friendly. They were told that the state penal code over rides federal law.

It's kind of like sanctuary cities. Fed's aren't going to do anything about it.
