It is Official!!

I turn in the Notification of Retirement to my captain last week, and went to my agency retirement office today and signed the papers. It is official now. 78 more days. 29 1/2 years of many good days and some not so good days. Hope I survive the rest of the days and join the distinguished league of old people.

Wish rest of you all a prosperous and safe career. Time will go by whether you realize or not. I still remember the first day out of academy long time ago, with an issued Smith & Wesson revolver.

That is quite an achievement. I've lost track of all that have come and gone in my 10 years so far.

I was interviewed several times by IAB, but was never a subject of an investigation. Hope to keep it that way. Had some civil rights violation law suits, and formal complaint from National Organization for Women, and so on. But, have survived so far.

Never had to shoot anyone, although I pulled out my pistol a few times. Pulled the trigger half way couple of times, but the bad guys gave up. Had 4 accidents (not my fault of course), one bike crash... three injuries...
