I used to love working patrol and being proactive and chasing down bad guys. Now I consider myself lucky that I'm not on patrol and don't interface with the public as a cop anymore. The sad part is it's the communities that are going to pay for the medias transgressions. The fact that everyone knows mike brown and eddie grays names, and no one knows officer Websters name is ludicrous. I know the first amendment allows freedom of press, but they need to learn what we already know, just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

I don't mean to rant so much but this whole thing has gotten way outta hand and a lot of the best officers I know are now apprehensive to even show up to work much less do anything active.........what a shame and a waste all do to poor leadership and the fear of standing up to the media.
