I suppose as a prior CDCR going through the LAPD academy, they'd see the OP as one of the boys, rather than just another shaved head, black suit and tie wearing faceless, nameless recruit. Maybe just walk into the staff instructor's office on day one, pour yourself a cup, and introduce yourself to the DI's.

Make sure you have a few rolls of masking tape for the "ropes" on your uniform. You don't want the D.I.s to find them, unless of course you enjoy running or writing memos.

Writing memos... I almost forgot how fun those were.

The day after a range day we had a white glove inspection of our pistols. I don't care how well you clean it, with enough digging you always find a fleck of carbon somewhere.
