Off Duty Belt

When you look for an off duty belt to wear well carrying concealed, what do you look for, and what brand do you currently wear?

I wear a basketweave 1.25" garrison belt... I think it was an old uniform inner belt.

I carry IWB 99.9 percent of the time off duty and I either use a Remora holster or a 1441gear "Shultz" AIWB for my Shield... Neither of these holsters are highly belt-dependent. If I carried OWB I might do things differently, but I've carried guns big (Beretta 92FS, S&W 4506, USP45) and small with no problem.

In my experience, if carrying behind the hip the important part about the belt is adjustability...Too loose and the gun sags. To tight and everything is uncomfortable. It seems to me that AIWB is more forgiving and less adjustment is needed.

Ended up settling between a leather belt at first than onto a rigger's type belt. Either one you choose you want it to be very stiff, these are the two i recommend:

Both are very stiff laterally so will support a holster very well while still being comfortable for IWB or OWB.

I highly recommend this 1.5" reinforced leather belt from Aker leather. It doesn't look conspicuous like a rigger belt but is stiff and wears well.

Nothing says "here comes a cop" like all those suggestions. Go to Boot Barn or a Dept store and find what you need.

Not really... Everything I wear covers my belt. That's why I don't use a snazzy one.

I use leather department store belts. Nothing says look at me more than a 5.11 or Class A basketweave belt.

I prefer leather belt.. Im not into wearng tacticool belts off duty.. I currently wear a leather belt that i purcheased with my holster from the same maker..
