Sounds like Miami might be a better fit and more "babes" than you would see in Sacto. Idaho is certainly not for everyone. It really depends on what is important to the individual.

Rafting the Boise River through town in the summer. Party Central for all the college babes. Also Lucky Peak Reservoir (admittedly outside of Boise)

The worst part about Idaho (which isn't that bad), is the 5.3% state income tax.
Other than that, can't think of any reasons not to enjoy being a full time citizen of ID.
I am a part time resident, but am a resident of a no state income tax state.

Congrats and welcome. We retired in N Idaho from SLT 3 years ago. 2 of our 4 kids followed us and ended up in Boise. That’s where the jobs are. Both of them bought new homes there a year ago. They visit us during the holidays, and we visit them random times throughout the year.

I hope you will appreciate the freedoms of Idaho and please return your shopping carts to the corrals like most of us do lol.
