Good question. I know my son applied for two but do not know the present status of those applications. It is my understanding that if approved, he would remove the braces and install regular rifle butt stocks.

I plan on using the FreeBRs as I see fit until there?s a clear definite answer. Either way, I think I?m covered with a provisional approval on hand. If the approvals are rendered invalid, I?ll go back to braces as these FreeBRs weren?t the pistols I really wanted to convert to SBR*. The must-SBR guns have all had $200 stamps and engraving done before the Brace Ruling.
