New injunction on pistol brace ban

But pretty much only for FPC members. It sounds ridiculous to me to not have law apply equally, whether you're a member of a club or not. But supposedly there's a pending case that entangles with this one, at the moment.

Last time this happened FPC said you can become a member and protection would apply. Are they saying the same thing this time?

Probably, but watch the video. There's another related case going on now, which is why the judge kept it only for FPC members for now. But in the end there's that equal treatment under the law thing.

they're missing the point, no one should need a brace or registration

out of work prohibition agents in 1934 are not a good excuse for violating the Bill of Rights without a constitutional amendment

this is a fight to keep legal some bull**** that shouldn't even exist

Such a big deal for the ATF.
But why? Because they stabilize your hold? May improve accuracy?

Were pistol braces even widely popular?

I've never even seen anyone using one in all my years.

Extremely popular. At least everywhere I shoot in southern Idaho.

                Same.
Everyone with a Scorpion, Stribog, or B&T pistol uses a brace.

Not sure if you're being serious.

So, what happens to all the SBR approvals they granted?

Yeah. Ive been checking my account daily. All have already been approved, but Im looking for "Revoked"

Either my pistol with a stock is an SBR and they have withheld the stamp, or its not an NFA item. The waters are so muddy that I dont care at this time (I realize some do). This will be interesting. Legally, they cannot say "This is an NFA item, but tax exempt and you dont need a stamp". Which is what they did.

It will probably be a long time before we know. They haven't even started the trial yet, right? There's just the injunction. If they win the trial, there may be an appeal. But if they win the suit, things should go back to the way they were early in the year before AFT got uppity. All the new Form 1's are void, and the sbr's revert back to pistols, as they were before, and you can brace them if you want.

I still have 2 that are not approved. I had to re-submit with paper forms.

so... I am no longer a felon if i have a pistol with a brace?
"It is currently CA legal to modify a double-action revolver into a single-action revolver and modify a single-action revolver into a double-action revolver.

CA DOJ BOF stance on modifying handguns only applies to dimensionally compliant bolt-action single-shot pistols and dimensionally compliant break-open single-shot pistols.
^It does not apply to revolvers, manually operated repeating pistols, and semi-auto pistols." ~~ Quiet
