    First "PPT" in AZ

First time doing a private party transaction in AZ. Very smooth - seller flashed me his AZ DL and CCW, exchanged gun/cash and done in less than a minute.

Such a strange feeling to be done so quick. No more long waits at LGS trying to do PPT and them B****** about all the paperwork.

I had a hard time trying to price out a BNIB Walther PDP 4.5 (Never shot, impulse buy). Bought it when it came out for $680 OTD, but ended up selling for $475 - weird feeling to be taking a loss on an "off-roster" lol. I'm just glad there's no roster to deal with here!

      Love our parking lot PPTs

I hope a Senate filibuster materializes
FFL involvement is not common sense

Meh, remains to be seen what happens with that anyway. 2A Sanctuary states may make it awfully difficult on the Feds trying to enforce it. Especially because there's no registry in those states.

Oh yeah - that was no brainer. Joined when I moved last year.

Went on a crazy buying binge w/ the all the options available. Starting to shed some of the impulse buys or guns I haven't touched.

Well done! I've made more than a few gun and ammo deals in parking lots myself. Just curious - is the DL and CCW thing you mentioned required in AZ for ppt?

DL only but many sellers ask for the CCW as an added benefit to knowing the seller is somewhat law abiding.

You don't fully realize the ever growing oppression in some states until you are finally able to exercise your God given liberties in others.

DL is required? You're supposed to only sell to legal age, but I've never heard of requiring a DL.

Under federal law the parties must be residents of the same state. So asking for the person's DL is a way to verify that one is not breaking federal law.

If Senate bills pass, red sanctuary states will follow federal law. They may not enforce it, but ATF will. Dealers (FFL 01) will follow the law.

State may decide not to prosecute parking lot PPT but ATF will.
I do not doubt ATF will conduct PPT sting operations in order to scare those trying it.

                      Filibuster must happen!

For short guns. I don't think that applies to long guns.

Did seller ask for buyer's ID? I have heard of CA resident getting out of state pistols since no one asks for proof of residency / ID.

Can happen when seller is eager to sell

                            Some ask for dl
                            Some for CCW
Some ask for short signed handwritten bill of sale as well
Some don’t ask for anything, or just see the car’s plates, which, of course, could be a rental

It’s a nice feeling. In dec2020 when I was looking for a compact hard to find in stores a friend I knew had a g43 for sale was nice to drive across town to pick up.
