at least it hasn't been declined. i've been declined twice for hearing loss as it doesn't meet their level of loss. they gave me tinnitus but said my ear damage/ hearing loss is not service related because their is no proof despite records showing to the contrary. as others said be the biggest most painful thorn you can be, too many give up because the va takes for ever on purpose to weed people out.

im on the hearing loss too, mine was really obvious that I had significant hearing loss but they literally wont give you compensation unless you are deaf.
it took me about 9 months from submitting til I received my rating.Comment

Stop by your local Veteran Service Office and write letter to your district congress. I am also in the process with VA right now and you have to be their pain in the ***** section in order to hear anything from them.Comment

Sucks for me because until I win the case with VA. They are making me pay for my full medical treatment. Man, it is getting expensive right now.Comment

I have been told i have appointments coming up after my claim was pushed back from final review. I call every week. Sometimes i am told i have appointments but only a day and time not a location or office (then i never receive anything in the mail or a call saying what place) Also ill call and they say im in development phase and i need to do nothing. I guess all i can do is keep calling every week and bugging them.Comment

The wait in early 2005 was 12-18 months.
The wait currently is 18-24 months.
