Thanks for all the comments fellas. And YES the female to male ratio here is something me and my battle buddies have pleasantly noticed to say the least lol. I've been waiting at reception since I arrived here because they have a lot more soldiers than available dorms. Luckily I got the go-ahead earlier today that all married soldiers are moving in tomorrow morning woohoo! And from what we've been told, these dorms are brand spankin new so that'll be a nice change from these stank filthy male bays I've lived in the past 10 weeks.

good job. And I should look up the origin of the don't volunteer mindset. Hopefully its not rooted in the desire of privates to avoid stupid details because almost everything unique in the army involves volunteering such as airborne, rasp, ranger school, special forces, delta... Even joining.
one time I volunteered for some wack detail and ended the day drinking beers with Toby Keith after we were off duty.

I volunteered for everything when I was a private! Hell, I ended up getting a 10 day long 4-day pass to Quatar because I volunteered for so much stupid sh*t.

Oh ya so I finally got my orders last week. Seems I'm headed to Ft Lewis. Anybody have any positive or negative reviews of that place? Recommendations to live off post or on? So my graduation date is July 27th but my report date is not until September 3rd. Does that mean I have an entire month of leave before reporting?
