Haha I'm surprised how many people are posting on this. My date was posted not adding in terminal or Verp. Can't wait to be making more than 25,000 a year.

5 years of honorable service down, Love the Corps but being a lifer is not for me, EAS: 16 April 2012 closing in on the goal.

Formerly stationed at Camp Pendleton now back in Texas.

Many thanks to CGN for helping to educate me, keeping me out of trouble, and for showing that not everyone in Cali is a lost cause there are a lot of good sane people.

I can personally tell you that at first it was like impossible to get a good job. Worked $8 per hour for almost a year then I found my niche and from there I was surprised how easy it can be.

Civilian life isn't as bad as what the drill sergeant says LOL.

I liked the Army but enjoyed civilian life more and I won't be where I am today without my military experience.

You'll be surprised how much promotion you'll get by telling your supervisor you're former Special Forces ............jk, I work with one former SF guy in my company and I still don't know who he is.

Oh my EAS was 06 Dec 2005. So I thought it was called ETS?

I believe the Army still calls it ETS, in the Marine Corps it's EAS, can't vouch for any of the other services though

It was EAOS when I was in the Navy. End Active Obligated Service. Date 31 Jan 05. Twenty years and two days. Hard to believe how fast twenty went by or that it has been seven already since I retired.

To those serving now. Stay safe and come home.

Since ive been fap'd out i am already working another job part time that will turn into a full time job when i EAS also a 3rd job as a Shooting Instructor is in the works. Granded most military members getting out at 22,23 years old with only a high school degree it is very difficult to find decent paying jobs. then again not alot of them look at there future and have plans and back up plans.

The conservative see's glass as half empty and tries to keep it that way.

USN 20021214 Honorable Separation. 4.5 years just so I could go to Japan. I would do it all over again.

We were the last boat to carry this flag in the original tradition. Now every boat carries it.The tradition is lost.

Shoot, due to the way my contract is written it'll be three years after my training is done (should have been 5 years total from May 13th of last year ideally) but they've been delaying the hell outta my training (to the the tune of 6 months already and looking at another 3 months delay comin up here soon) Either way, too damn far away to think about.
