Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.

                That's about what I thought when I was a 2Lt.

Keep yourself healthy and take care of your career, and maybe you'll get 20 years out of it. I know a lot of guys who fell short of that goal. Some had injuries, some had families some got tired of the politics and some just went on to "greener pastures".

Like it, or not: someday your military career will end. Maybe you'll be happy, maybe you'll be sad but at the end of it all, just remember that less than 1% of the US population will have done what you did.

20130616. Depending on how this board goes I may be doing my twilight year as a sergeant, or I may have to wait a few more months to pick up. Regardless, I'll be treating myself to a five month summer vacation when I go terminal in April.

Corps may have been able to keep me if it they realized that making MECEP exclusive to sergeants and above is not at all representative of a meritocracy and breeds weakness by encouraging complacency among fast promoting MOS officer prospects.

I'll be doing a lot of soul searching at school to see if I want to go dark side.

As it stands now, 31 August 2013, unless I reenlist, or go for Warrant or Officer, if I can produce a clean EKG when the time comes. If I do continue on, it'll be 31 August 2020 for my 20 years.

I posted that and then saw your signature block with your rank and devices. I thought to myself, "how is that possible?"
