This. Learn land nav before you ship though. I've read that a great portion of 18x flunkies get booted during the land nav course.

i agree. and pt as much as possible. if you flunk out of 18x school you can still just go infantry

From what I understand..... you can't get that option untill your in. They are getting them from existing soldiers.

Training seats are locked up. Its going to be like this for awhile. Some of the above reasons are also the case.

11 series is never closed for long... just give it a few months and it will open up again. My recruiter gave me the same speech about 11B & 68W being closed , after waiting a 1.5months i had signed on as a 68W . If you want a gaurantee'd 11B slot then you can always pick up a random MOS , get through basic and fail whatever your AIT is and BOOM! you will be given the option to reclass to infantry.

Im at FSH right now and 90% of the people that fail the NREMT and cant proceed are offered the chance of 11b before getting discharged
