Nah it was not the pas-13.

It was little like a pvs14.

But it could go thermal like a pas-13.

The ones you used were tan colored and just a little thicker than the 14's right?

They were a little thicker but not much larger. I know the price tag on them was way over what a 14 cost.

There is one that I have got the chance to play with that was cooler than the pvs14. I'm not sure but I think it was called a pvs15??? <--- not certain.

All I know is that it had a zoom built into it and it could go white/black hot. A doorgunner had them so I'm not sure if it is something the Army or the Navy use.

I just know it made the 14's look like the 7's

It was about the same size as a 14 but it had the thermal feature with zoom.

a TAM maybe? We use them at work but we dont like them much as we need to see really far. We just have them on hand with EVERYTHING else fails. fr a couple hundred yards though they are great.

Interesting read. I worked on these projects after I graduated from college. The technology was simply amazing. I can't get into it too much but from limited field trials, the current gen of PVS-14 has better visual performance, as you are looking through the glass( no lag). But the up coming Night/Thermal technologies will blow your socks off. I can't wait for that to reach the commercial market.

by the way, I'm pretty sure BAE is also in the mix along with DRS and ITT. I could be wrong, it's been awhile.
