I am not sure where the statement that the MOH can be received only once in a lifetime came from.

You can blame the youth and their zeal for those things pop culture which has always been there to a degree, but it is those raising them that are emphasizing and rewarding those values. I would say that many baby boomers of today carry some kind of misplaced shame about our country and communicate this onto the youth. They reflect a lot about them.

You can talk about the politics of war, but then you can also talk about hard working honorable people that sacrifice for our country like Howard.
