That means their job is to figure out why they shouldn't let you join or disqualify you. Sometimes Recruiters will tell an applicant things to say or not say. Right? Wrong? that depends on the people and the regulations involved. At the end of the day, the applicant is the one who goes thru the process of joining and signs their name on the dotted line. What you have to ask yourself is do you or don't you want in? Am I or Aren't I telling the truth? But, for Gods sakes, stop blaming recruiters for your problems or issues or shortcomings. Only you can compromise your Integrity. As for me, I joined at 17 with Ashma. I lied and hid it. 22 years later I retired with a great career and I'm a Combat Infantryman to boot. I made that choice for me and it worked out. Did my recruiter say "don't say anything, lets see how your physical comes out", you bet. And I will always be grateful to him for allowing me the opprtunity to serve my country. Say whatever you want, tell the truth, say nothing. But its your decision to make. By the way, no clearence needed for 19D other than a local for you, for now.
Bully for you. You must be a recruiter.
So did your recruiter allow you to join, or was that your decision? Was it up to him, or you?
I'm a little confused on your message. Are you also saying you support lying or a lying recruiter?
    Interesting.
There's a big difference between getting by a physical and a recruiter telling someone -who knows NOTHING about the military- to lie, knowing they're going to face a security check. You don't have to be a lawyer to know that's just wrong.
Ultimately I was responsible for my actions, and that's why if I wanted to stay in and fight it, there would have been a trial and if I lost, I could have faced time in Leavenworth. HOWEVER...the recruiter was to blame and was prosecuted separately. This wasn;t the first time he had done that, and wasn't the only one by any means.
In the madness of this world, know the Peace of God.
