Same thing happened to my son on his first tour. He was understandably upset. I convinced him that his woman's not worth keeping if she would bail on him. Better he find out now then after starting a family.

Then, I hunted her sorry a** down and persuaded her to leave the state by the time he got back.

Where the guy gets the Dear John letter and she asks for her picture back, so he sends her a reply.

After collecting pictures of everyone's ladies (some with clothes, some not)and putting about 25 photos in the envelope with the note: "Of course I understand your position, but I can't quite remember which one you were, so if you would kindly take your picture and send the rest back to me."
