Sorry to hear this. It's never easy.
My own female trouble blew up in 2009 and I'm now a single man after 20 years off the market.
    Yep... women are a mystery.

Lord grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

There is only one way to handle **** like this when you are 10,000 miles away, its best to accept it and move on. good luck over there and stay safe.

Haven't experienced it, but that's why I'm staying away from relationships until my EAS.

Stay safe, you've got more dangerous/important things to worry about. At least your guns won't leave you!

There's worse things that could happen.

I've been married 32 years and I've never looked at another woman

Well John, that's a shame, but you're free now. It's time to go out and take advantage of your loss, and if you have 'game' your stripes (and uniform) might help get you some. And the best part is, you can remain a John, John.

Same thing happened to my son on his first tour. He was understandably upset. I convinced him that his woman's not worth keeping if she would bail on him. Better he find out now then after starting a family.

Then, I hunted her sorry a** down and persuaded her to leave the state by the time he got back.

Reminds me of the M*A*S*H episode

Where the guy gets the Dear John letter and she asks for her picture back, so he sends her a reply.

After collecting pictures of everyone's ladies (some with clothes, some not)and putting about 25 photos in the envelope with the note: "Of course I understand your position, but I can't quite remember which one you were, so if you would kindly take your picture and send the rest back to me."
