Congratulations on making it thru, even with being sick. Enjoy the time with your wife, thank you and her for your service to our country. When you finish AIT and get stationed permanent, boredom will be your enemy. Stay with your shooting sport, get involved with a shooting team in you Company, Battalion or Brigade. Keep yourself straight and clean and keep your mind on what is important, your family and career. Thank you again for your service.I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.Comment

Boredom is my enemy right now. We have so many hours of free time everyday and we are not allowed to do anything. Sometimes they let me go to the gym and sometimes I just sit on my bunk reading or playing on my laptop. I can't wait to get out of a training environment and start doing something. After AIT I am hopefully going to Airborne. I am taking the physical next week for it. It will probably add another 2- 4 weeks of being a holdover at my AIT but who cares.Comment

Some people when I was going though got fast tracked through reception and only got about 1/3 of the shots that I got. They were at reception for 2 days and I was there for 10.Comment

I was always one of those guys that said, why jump out of a good plane, then it happened.......I jumped, forget the plane man, you can't beat the feeling. Granted, jumping into enemy territory isn't as fun as hitting the ground to praise God your alive and going to denny's, but jumping is jumping. Thanks for the kind words.

I was A co 2/47.
It sounds like I am going to be held over at Fort Gordon before Airborne and then held over at Airborne until I get stationed.
I was supposed to take my Airborne physical this morning but I had to take a test so I am going to try to make it next week.Comment
