I first applied thru USAJOBS where I found the posting. I have also applied thru the CPOL for what may be the same position!
I have a buddy that works there so I would have a friendly face down there (though he IS a liberal! ) Plus, Tucson's not too far away, and my dad would only be about 5 hrs drive away.

I'm just getting really tired of all the BS that Kali is pulling, and it's getting even worse. One of the jobs I REALLY wanted down there was as a Test Engineer for the EW lab down there with the Elex Proving Ground (EPG). Totally right up my alley.
On my Status page from CPOL, it says several times "Your resume has been forwarded to the Selecting Official for consideration for this position."

I've made a couple of certs for positions at Mugu, but nothing solid, no calls or anything. Evidently being NAVSEA instead of NAVAIR kind of cramps their opinion!

Oh well, I'm still plugging away. At least I get to shoot a big, cool gun!

Yeah I have an app in with CPOL as well to go back to NGIC in Charlottesville VA. I have the same "forwarded to selecting official" message on there. If you think trying to be NAVSEA and getting a job with NAVAIR is tough, try being former Army and getting a job there. I slid in working for a defense contractor so they were a little more open about it. If your interested in the contractor route, try Northrop or L-3.

can you please put a damn CIWS on Reagan. I feel like a sitting duck every time I go underway on it.

That reminds me, I just got back from my last underway on it....haha.

oh well, get her a CIWS anyway.

It's all up to the TYCOM! All they have to do is fund it, we'll put a couple on there! From what I understand, a few of the carriers that were equipped with RAM and NSSMS are being retrofitted to replace the RAMs with CIWS. Some of the amphibs are being fitted with all 3!! (Don't THAT make you just a little jealous?!!! )
