Newsmax: "New York Gun Laws Provide Interesting Case Nationally"; CA2 AW & hicap bans

Something to watch for in CA2.

The act, the Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement Act, was passed in response to the school shooting at Newtown, Connecticut. Among other things, the legislation banned assault weapons, expanded background checks, and banned high-capacity magazinesOral arguments on the appeal are tentatively scheduled for December. Was this the case that the judge's reasoning was hilariously bad? I think it was the NYC awb case...

You might be thinking of the Maryland AWB case where the judge could not find a single time when an AR15 was used in a self-defense, therefore they were not a protected firearm.

      Fromhttp://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/2...rounds-in-gun/
[The judge] noted in her ruling that with the exception of one example not relevant to the case, Maryland law enforcement officials are unaware of any resident using an assault weapon or needing to fire more than 10 rounds in self-defense.
