So you're telling me, that is a real add? And the house is really for sale for only $200?

Wow that really blows my mind if it's real.

its real. The house was even listed at $1 earlier. The problem is that property taxes are pretty steep in Detroit and you would pay a lot of property taxes waiting for the neighborhood to turn around, assuming it EVER turns around, which seems unlikely at this point.

How are property taxes in Detroit based on? Value of home? So if the home is only worth $200, what's the tax? $2? LOL

"Prohibit the peasants from owning katanas, wakizashis, arrows, spears, or matchlock rifles. If the peasants are armed, they will not pay nengu (taxes) and they will not be subordinate to the officials."

Toyotomi Hideyoshi's Sword Hunt Edict of 1588, establishing the class division between the peasants (commoners) and the samurai (the governing elites).

Here is what these incumbents have accomplished so far:

And the Cattlefornia voters will re-elect them.

I`m glad the police chief did this...that lets me know he truly cares about Detroit...also he`s African American..so there`s no race card....so idiots like Jackson and Sharpton and Bloomberg don't have nothing to say...you wont see those three morons go anywhere near Detroit....And most important of all...people of all races in Detroit are applying for permits, regardless of where they live...especially women..they`re taking their city back.

There the police chief tells you to buy guns.

Here the police chiefs tell you to turn in your guns via gun "buybacks".

And a house for $500!!! That must be the one of the nastiest holes in the ground ever built.

                Found one for $200.

                Within 1 mile radius: (crimemapping.com)
                Multiple assaults

                Multiple auto thefts
                Etc.
hard to imagine a house worth less than a steak dinner for 2 at a high end restaurant

If memory serves, the corrupt civil govt there doesnt need to appraise your house for what you bought it at. They give you an assessment and then you pay a 15% tax on that assessment. So you're looking at a couple thousand per year in taxes for a $200 house. They have also passed laws in certain areas there that prevent people like us or big corporations to swoop in and start buying up houses/land for $1 or $200 that states you need to make that home your primary residence.

I have a couple friends that live in the area and have heard some horrible things. One friend knows a guy who had some crack come to his back sliding glass door. The crack head was trying to force the door open and while he was doing that the guy called the Police who basically told him that they had other fish to fry. The guy grabbed his gun and as soon as the crack head opened the door, the friend shot the guy right in the head. The messed up part of this story is that he called the Police back who refused to come and investigate (again too busy - but they did ask if the guy was in his house when he was shot) and the guy is sitting there with a dead body in his living room. He then calls my friend who has family on the force and pulls strings to finally get the body picked up a few days later. So I don't see Detroit turning around anytime soon. Go back and watch the original Robocop movies, they knew exactly what Detroit would turn into.

                    Dear God!!
It would be bad enough having a dead body in your house for a few days.
A dead crack head would be even worse! Could you imagine the smell
