This. Don't oversell the results of CCW; it is enough to argue that the streets didn't run red which proves the gun banners are wrong.

Let's not use false statistics to advance our goals.

The main number we should be looking at is "crime committed by CCW holders" vs. "overall crime rate." As long as CCW doesn't *increase* the likelihood of committing a crime, antis have no case. That's the only number we should be pushing.

Call me a skeptic, but I have a feeling that this has more to do with one of the coldest, harshest winters in years instead of very recently delivered CCW permits. If the trend holds throughout the summer, it would be something more significant, in my opinion.
