Have to disagree with you on this point. Take Colorado as one extended example. There are 62 elected Sheriff's there. 55 of them got together (Sheriff's Association) and sued/challenged the magazine laws enacted there. Many of them openly refuse to enforce gun control laws. Basically, the Colorado Sheriff's do not agree with Gun Control.

I'd like to see 60-Minutes do a special on that! They could contrast it with interviews with Liberal Police Chiefs from places like the City of Boulder, where highly educated city councils select puppet police chiefs to further the liberal agenda. The thing is: Sheriffs are elected, where as Police Chiefs are selected by a handful of Liberal City Council Members. Do the math.

I think you misunderstood, I was getting at essentially the same point you are making, as I believe I read somewhere that most of the Sheriff's associations were on our side.

California's only hope is Federal Laws that protect your Gun Rights. The State Level fight has been lost.

We are sloooowly winning the County Level fight for CCWs! In the past 6 months, Sheriff Gore of San Diego County, has started issuing more and more CCWs. While he's not at the point of SD = GC (our goal, "dark green"), he has definitely taken it from "light red" to "yellow" in the CA CCW GC map below. Over the next 6 month we should know if he's taken it to "light green." His challenger in the sheriff's race, David Meyer, said he'd accept SD = GC if elected, so this may be a case is "one in the hand worth two in the bush"?



Plus, we now have several counties with >7,000 CCWs issued, and I think OC should be passing 10,000 right about now, and our state total should be closing in on 100,000 for the first time EVER!

When Kroft asked about states rights I thought a rather sly "why Steve, the last time I heard such concern for states rights it was said with a southern drawl - is that you Bull .....?" would have been appropriate.

Our side missed an opportunity to rebut by stating "any state that wants to opt out can" by prohibiting carry in their state. Of course any good, objective reporter would have included that in their report themselves. I would suggest Kroft was aware of that exemption, but chose to not include it because it didn't comport with his narrative.

That piece is heavily doctored. They invited a group of women to provide an angle, then they completely cut them and pretended the ladies cancelled.

Anyone think he might have said everything we wanted him to say, and everything that perfectly supports National Reciprocity, but the TV show was “edited for time” and didn’t give 100% of his response all the time?
