Make no mistake, their motivation has nothing to do with the interest of the safety of US citizens. Their goal is complete disarmament and control of the citizenry, period. This is how authoritarianism is born. Like my man Edmond Burke once said, "All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent."

They may want to take a history lesson before things turn real ugly.

As a teenager I used to have a D.A.R.E. (To Keep Kids Off Drugs) shirt all the while being totally blazed.

I had that sticker on my car. I got it from the Reno airport. It looked the same but read:

I don't usually weigh in because I think different than most of you but my argument to people I know has ALWAYS been this "The 2nd Amendment is in place to protect us from BOTH parties."

It's so plain it's stupid , the issue comes when folks want to paint a side as being wrong. When that happens no one is listening anymore and the line is drawn. That line is what ruins it all.
