That's fine if you're talking about your grandma.

It's a problem if you're talking about lawmakers or government officials.

What about cmp? If your in a free state you can order a gun and have it shipped to your home. 3 years ago you could do that in California!

The Director of the ATF would likely know, but even if he didn't I wouldn't get worked up about it...he's got people for that too.

        Nothing to see here...move along.
I disagree. "Their people" are not the ones who are providing info to the politicians, who REALLY have no clue. More than likely one of them will completely misstate things, leading to worse laws than we already have. You should be concerned about that.
It was not a threat. It was an exaggerated response to an uncompromising stance. I was taught never to make a threat unless you are prepared to carry it out and I am not a fan of carrying anything. Even watching other people carrying things makes me uncomfortable. Mainly because of the possibility they may ask me to help.

On the contrary, he's probably a very smart politician. That's why he was hired.

To be a true Liberal, you must be 100% pro-Second Amendment. Anything less is inconsistent with liberalism.

Nah, it's his job to lead the agency, not to know minutiae.

I'll decide what I should be concerned about, thank you.

Why are we expecting the head of the FBI (or even an agent) to know the details about firearm laws? That is in the domain of the BATFE.
