Add in court costs and whatever other fee's are added in these days and your probably closer to $400. Even if it is correctable it's going to cost around $100 or so.

Just the City of LA. They don't send the letters out to residents of LA County. I haven't gotten one for the past 3 firearms I bought within the past 2 years.

Perhaps a class actions law suit of sometime claiming that the letters are intended to be veiled threats for the choice to exercise of a fundamental right?

            --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The city attorney should not have your information if you have not committed a crime and have your name and info on a list to send you out a letter and what do they do with that list after the letters are sent out, hummm?

I am sure the letter could also be used later in prosecutions for negligent storage of a firearm, negligent discharge of a firearm, ETC., because they can now say you new better, we sent you out a letter.

I am sure that there are some civil rights violations being committed by the city, DOJ, State, LAPD, ETC.. This is a scare tactic, straight out intimidation. Send that letter back. Do not open it and write below the return address: Return to sender.

This really goes to the 'politics' forum, and there is an existing active thread there - http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=916134.
