    Family Transfer

I think I have asked this before but cant seem to find my original thread. My father lives in Alaska and has some handguns he wants to leave to give to me. It is my understanding that family transfers are exempt from the roster and that for me to take possession of them he would have to have a dealer ship them to a dealer here in CA. However when I asked at my local gun store I was told that this transfer is not roster exempt and that it couldn't be done. I live in Susanville, I would not be opposed to driving to sac or Redding if I had to. Anyone know of a dealer that will do the transfer for me?

FFL wrong off roster does not apply to intrafamilial transfers. He can ship to ffl here with documents and you go do dros. Another tale of oblivious or just not want to transfer ffl.

LGS counter monkeys know little to nothing about majority of firearm statutes.

Interstate intrafamial transfers ARE ROSTER EXEMPT.

Cannot transfer any magazines over 10 round. Or handguns with threaded muzzle barrels.

        Otherwise GTG.
