Short answer is no. Got to keep it. Chance it may be taken off but its far in the future and dependent on litigation.

That is the letter or the law and I joint regd with wife to be safe.
But has anyone heard of a live in direct family member actually getting charged or prosecuted because they had access to a RAW regd under only their family members name, and they just had incidental access to the safe?
I have not.
So honestly joint reg to be safe. Or to pass it down to adult children. But I wouldn’t over worry about it if you and your cohabitants are otherwise law abiding responsible citizens. But... joint reg to be safe with the letter of the law.-------------------------Comment

NO 'bullet buttons' are 'approved'.
You register with what you have, change to the new definition for 'fixed magazine', or change to 'featureless'.ARCHIVED Calguns Foundation Wiki here: http://web.archive.org/web/201908310...itle=Main_Page
Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!Comment

Trying to complete a joint registration. Entered FAMILY MEMBER in Acquired from and my name and address (identical to my wife's). Otherwise the firearm description is exactly what I entered. But the form is barfing with
"The Residential Address or weapon description does not match the Joint-Registrant CRIS Number entered."
Anyone else run into this?Comment

UPDATE: Managed to get 7 of 14 done. Only one was giving the above error, so it's not the address that's the issue. Something about the description of the rifle vis-a-vis what's in the CRIS record that's not copacetic.Trying to complete a joint registration. to answer your second question.A few quick questions:
1. For an AR pistol w/ BB built from a stripped lower (lower purchased via PPT and was DROS'd as handgun), should I still put "Originally built as a single-shot pistol, later converted to semiautomatic" in the comment as suggested by the guide? I believe this was meant for 80% lower builds, but I don't know what should I do for AR pistol built from stripped lower. What would be the safest way to avoid any possibility of self-incrimination?
2. One of my rifle lower was initially FDE color, which was stated on the DROS paper. Later I painted it black, and now it has a black upper, so the entire rifle is black. So, for the color question, do I put its current color black, or the color on the DROS record which is tan color, or go with the guide and select "other, multicolor"?
Thank you.
I had an AR that was normal black color. I rattle-canned it and now it's tan.
I registered it as tan and they accepted it. So I'd say whatever color the rifle is in the photos you upload is the color you should select on the form.sigpicComment

for an AK pistol they are asking to select the following boxes that apply:
1-Second Handgrip
2--Shroud that is attached, or partially or completely encircles, the barrel that allows the bearer to fire the weapon without burning the bearer's hand, except a slide that encloses the barrel.
3-The capacity to accept a detachable magazine outside the pistol grip
4-Threaded Barrel (capable of accepting flash suppressor, forward handgrip, or silencer
question 4 above concerns me. My pistol does have a threaded barrel with a slant brake attached.
also, does the wood handguard qualify as a shroud?Comment

You have a threaded barrel. Check the box.for an AK pistol they are asking to select the following boxes that apply:

Unless it's pinned and welded in place, in which case it's no longer considered threaded. Don't worry about the legality of having a threaded barrel, they're fine on pistols as long as it has a non-detachable (bullet button) magazine.
