Yep, passed the BG check without further fees, paperwork or the need of a lawyer. I now have a beautiful O/U 12ga in my legal possession.

So the conclusion is; if you have been convicted of a misdemeanor (non DV) in California that bars you from possessing a firearm for 10 years and have no other restrictions, you automatically have the right back after the 10 year mark of your conviction.
