    Celebrate!!! We Kicked Butt!!

Where's the Wheee Hawww! we kicked butt thread?

We had a rising tide of stupid, anti-rights, anti-gun laws in January and we beat them back. How many phone calls, emails, letters to the editor, talking to friends and family did Calgunners do? Don't forget the guys here who go to the capitol, work the halls and offices and report back to keep us all informed and focussed. How many of you donated hard earned money to this cause?

We need to congratulate each other and get pumped up so we can do it again next session.

You've accomplished a great thing! Feel proud of your selves!

Yes, you are the only one. There's nothing confusing about being a strong gun rights advocate and a liberal. There's a lot of us here.

If it makes it easier for you, you can think of me as a Heinlein Libertarian Trade Unionist. There's a lot more, but some other time.

Ahh, you must mean Classic Liberal. But hey, whoohoo!!! Die lousy law, DIE!

Now we have to work on a national level to stop the election of the guy who is most likely to look at some of the idiotic laws that we already have on the books here - thanks, state Democrats, and thinks that it would be a good idea to make them national. 3 guesses who that is... Hint. Son of Federal AWB.

It was a very good year for gun rights so far and it's probably going to get better.

while I'm still new to the board( last 6 months or so) I think its good we have beat down the crappy bills that we have, but It still sucks that we are on the defensive. Hopefully after January 08 we can go on the offensive and get rid of these stupid gun laws!!!

The word you're seeking is 'mutation'.

If you get down on your hands and knees in a clover patch and look very closely for a long time, you may eventually find one with four leaves.

                    That would be a mutation.

Things are shifting to the offensive.

Sit back and at least breathe a sigh of relief, people!

To CaliforniaLiberal: I think a lot of us are still tense because of the presidential election.

Although I am very pleased we were able to stop the flood, what legislative bills are being created to repair the levy, and keep moronic new legislation from being introduced?

We need proactive anti, anti gun law.

Sage, can you give us a preview as to what we can expect to see in the way of legislation?

i agree that we have accomplished much. i agree that we still have more to accomplish. maybe we could organize a state conference/camp and bbq/shoot or whatever. this may provide us an opportunity to recognize those who have been our voice, show our cohesion to those that may not recognize how many we are, and have a great time doing it.
