Having to renew a CCW is a time to review your handguns listed, all three are going to be changed in my case.
I picked up a truly pocket concealable Not-Unsafe pistol yesterday (after the 10 day firearm-jail time) and the dealer was commenting about not having to go through a "Safe Handgun Handling" exercise because I was an LEO. I corrected him immediately (I'm not LEO) but the mistake got me to thinking.
Why are CCW holders not-Exempt from the Handgun Roster list (like LEOs) ?
The Not-On-List handguns do get into California so there's no real change there.
The handgun safety training for CCW's is prescribed, verified and stringent.
Is this something that should be Litigated, a bill introduced, or a decision requested from DOJ for CCW's to also be Exempt from the Not-Unsafe Roster?
Can this be another incremental step to be taken to reduce the influence of the Not-Unsafe Roster of Handguns?
(and please let me know if CCW's are exempt because there's a couple of off-list handguns I'm lusting for)
