Opportunity to shoot full auto in CA! :)

Okay, so I know that this is the section reserved specifically for legally relevant 2A issues, but since we are fighting for the right to own and shoot NFA and non-NFA firearms, I thought it might be worth pointing out that Nice Shot Inv. Corp has managed to find a way through the legal morass to allow Californian's an opportunity to shoot NFA firearms, including full autos!

This opportunity to shoot NFA firearms will be held at the CRPA Family Fun Shoot this Saturday at the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center. I think Nice Shot ought to be praised for not only finding a way to present this opportunity, but for their willingness to allow the general law abiding public the chance to shoot!

(Librarian, if you do not agree with the relevance, then feel free to close the thread.)

I don't know how I feel about the CRPA.....

Maybe wildhawker could chime in. Don't really want to support something I don't support.

Sounds like its going to be a great time; Jeff at Nice Shot was telling me about some of the different FA's they were going to bring down, along with a Barret M82.

This is actually something that CRPA SHOULD have been doing all along. Despite the issues currently facing the board and members, this is at the very least a step in the right direction for CRPA from my perspective as a non-member.

Hmmm.. It might be an opportunity for some of us to let the CRPA leadership know how we feel about their management issues, face to face...

...and to shoot some FA weapons.

Edit; Their website says they're expecting 400 to 700 attendees... I think I'll pass. Sac Valley doesn't have enough parking for that many and I'm not going to walk in 90 degree heat from Ione.

.50 BMG is not permitted to be fired at Sac Valley, nor is the .416 Barrett. Please pass that along to Jeff, I'd hate to see him drag it down and not be able to use it. Better he use the gas to bring a gun that can be shot.

Lol they will let them shoot it. Unless its a county noise restriction which i doubt. You can shoot .50 bmg at cordova ..

Agreed. This is stepping out of the old-guy mode.

Now, if we can just use this to to get political relevance and proper board elections, we might somewhere.

You can't shoot anything larger than .338 Lapua at Sac Valley because of the proximity to Rancho Murrietta Airport.

I'm telling you that .50 BMG and .416 Barrett are not allowed to be fired on the range, period. This policy went into effect 3 years ago and still stands today. I speak as a current board member and past president of the club in this matter.
