I got the same response from Logue and a great letter from Senator Gaines. If you want to se an impressive voting record for the last four years take a look at gaines he appears on our side for the last four anyway.

We'll make sure he gets a copy of the DVD when it's done this fall - we present this issue in the film.

I'm not exactly sure which DVD you are talking about (or if this is sarcasm), but you have piqued my curiosity.

Please see the links in my signature box. I'm a filmmaker working on a PBS/PTV documentary on CA gun laws and civil rights.

Although this unconstitutional bill has been killed, please stay vigilant.
and that's the problem right there...

I've honestly come to feel that Kaliforneeyans are too stupid to own guns and probably deserve to have them banned. We had a really good chance at having a law passed that was so heavily flawed that it would have been a slam-dunk to overturn in court. Instead, what will happen is that next year lee will come back with the same law - but more carefully crafted and one that will be more difficult to overturn.

Kaliforneeyan's will never win the war against draconian gun laws until they decide to quit fighting the same tired battle over and over again.

Ahh yes. Because letting them ban guns entirely will solve all of our problems as gun owners in this state.

Great to know you got a positive response along with the other members who had similar experiences.

There absolutely exists a trend where politicians believe they are elected to be our babysitters and dictate to us what is right rather than represent us and follow the laws that limit their powers.

I have two things I'd like to point out. First, the law would have been very expensive to fight in court, and even getting it overturned would probably lead to a very narrow opinion stating that particular law wasn't valid. I doubt we would have ended up with much else. Second, what makes you think that the people trying to re-polish this turd are any smarter than the lawyers we have re-writing their briefs?

At least it wasn't like the ones from the Anti's trying to give you loopy facts as to why they don't care about TRUE facts, and I think it was Pelosi that sent me something like "bla bla bla killed by firearms every year" but failed to state how many of those included in the numbers: prevented violent assaults, violent rapes, were in defense of life, in the line of Police duty, or the like.

The Anti's are REALLY ignorant. It is good to know we DO get some responses worth-while, sometimes... even if mostly scripted.

Drunken sailors take great offense at this comparison. At least drunken sailors stop spending when the money runs out.
