    +1 for Jason Davis.

You could get a better lawyer, but it would involve carving a pentagram on the floor and chicken blood... it gets messy and you won't like who shows up.

The Alan that was being referred to as being in Washington State was Alan Gottlieb. He was one of the three contacts that had been mentioned at the bottom of a linked page earlier.

Those attorney charge. Does anyone know what their fee is? Most charge $500hr + a min fee of $5000. Not cheap.
Good legal representation is not cheap. In fact, most of the time, anything that is worth buying isn't cheap. The least expensive course is to stay out of legal trouble in the first place.

Bruce Colodny is also a good SoCal firearms lawyer: http://www.gunlaw.com/

Oh, well Gotleib isn't a lawyer. I didn't read the link and since the thread was about lawyers, I assumed that the Alan mentioned was Alan Gura.

This just proves that assuming makes an *** out of u and me.

When I started carrying, I became a member of the USCCA (United States Conceal Carry Association). They have a program called Self-Defense Shield. It's basically self-defense insurance. In the event that you're involved in a justified shooting. They will cut a check not to you, but to your chosen pro-2A attorney. They have different levels of protection and amounts. I contacted Jason and put his name and number down on these cards that the USCCA provides that takes you step by step through the process that you should follow following a self-defense shooting.

Its nothing I need right now or urgently, thank god. It's one of those things I don't want to wait until the last minute to decide on who I would call if I needed representation with firearm knowledge that is fairly local.

                  BUMP!

I've updated the list in the order of proximity to my location. Both Jason Davis and David J. Salvin are also Calgun Members.
