"We" are kind of playing into that by engaging in the childish mud slinging. I think there's some gold among all the slime though. I'm just going to be surprised if the bait is taken.

Exactly. We need to be much more careful about which "mud" we sling and where we sling it.

It's out my hands, it's going on and it's very acrimonious. I waiting with baited breath for the new amendments to be released.

I've already contacted all my reps, gov brown, sent messages to KFI, John Stossell and Rush Limbaugh, and really don't feel we have nearly enough votes to get this blocked. All I hear is silence from those that should be the most vocal.

Wrong. There is very solid and sound strategy here. Just because you don't agree, doesn't mean there isn't strategy. We can agree to disagree and we will know the results in a very short month.

Below is an interesting article to read. A comment made by someone who is not a gun owner which just tells me/you just how these anti-gun people think? Where is the source for this information? (Is my question)

Sen. Feinstein: ‘Bad Time’ to Press for Gun Control

Many scientific studies have shown that people who support gun ownership have statistically low IQ scores and scholastic grades. Many of these people also tend fall in the groups of significant risk for neurological and psychiatric disorders. In fact, one can do a simple survey on their family or friends and can find these obvious correlations.

In fact, on a broad brush, there are two types of supporters for gun ownership: 1. Businessmen, Politicians & Media who support & profit from weapons business 2. Low IQ commoners who are brainwashed to own a gun. Terrorists and Psychopaths are an extreme versions of the second types. The second type people are usually unsuccessful, work in lower rungs of the world, do menial jobs, have lower IQs, and lower control over the society, so their direct impact/support on the gun ownership issue is minimal. Its actually, the type 1 supporters who are smart, well educated but unfortunately support weapons for their personal greed and selfish reasons. These people while feel immune to the affects of gun control sitting in well guarded corporate and political houses don’t realize that some day in future their loved ones or even themselves would become the prey to those weapons they dearly supported.

-- I love the mythological significance given to Dum Dum Bullets. As if they're little tactical nukes, stacked up in "Assault Clips" ready to be "sprayfired" "from the hip" by pistol grip equipped "bullet hoses" instead of early variations of the softpoint bullets people have been using to take game with (and use for self-defense) for the last century.

All the more reason for us to present a civil and polite profile instead of playing into their stereotypes. Their ignorance gives us the opportunity to surprise them with how wrong they are.

I'm an aerospace engineer and I support gun rights so I guess I have a low IQ and have a menial job. Thanks for sharing that, it made me laugh. It's truly disgusting that some anti's think this way though.

So you roll your eyes at a person who is on the CGF board and has direct knowledge of how to proceed and defeat this? Something they are good at? One of the pioneers of selling OLL's in all of CA.

Now wonder the mud slinging is so thick here.

There's a socio-political snobbery that I have noticed. The banners here seem to assume that anyone whom owns a firearm is somehow socially aberrant. Somehow less urbane, less civilized, ignorant, backwards, backwoods, afraid, paranoid, radically-conservative, just weird.

I think it's a symptom of how polarized politics has become where it is simply sufficient to demonize your opponent as a "libtard" or whatever, to appeal to your own side.

We can voraciously attack the ideas without ridiculing the people. Facts and opinions are fair game.

I don't care what board he's on or what he sells. We also had direct advice form others in equal footing to stop taunting the enemy.

They are NOT on equal footing! Who do you claim on this board that is on equal footing?
