    Those people were going to register them as .50 BMG rifles, not as an assault weapon per Roos-Roberti or SB23. There's a fine distinction, but in real terms it doesn't matter. I just wanted to bring that up because my .50 BMG rifle is not registered as an AW.

          Unless any questions you ask, are answered in writing and mailed to you on official DOJ letterhead and signed by the head DOJ,,, its only the opinion of the person you talked to on the phone. I agree an honest person, avoiding a felony, would like to have an valid official answer from an official in the DOJ office. But have learned from CALGUNS postings, that any DOJ verbal advice by phone, is an opinion of whom ever answered your call and has no legal standing in court.

          BTW, KMP & other .50 RHSP makers, do sell to Kalifornians.
