Im sorry, but I HAVE to chime in (and piss some people off in the mean time)

Ive done ALL my PPT's, Out of state, and new gun DROS'sthru BSP and Chris. He is a STAND up guy, and even if he is wrong on the price, I'd STILL pay the fee just to know I'm not getting some asshat at Turner's or another shop trying to make a buck on the back end of some deal.

IMHO, EBWhite shouldn't bitch about prices, for this same guy wanted to sell me a Ameetec lower stamped LEO for $450... cause its "rare"... Its funny how some guys want to try and mark something up as much as they can and find a sucker to buy it, but will bitch over 10 or 20 bucks....

    flame suit's on....

*edit - I just checked my email and Chris is more than willing to pay back the difference he "owes" me on some PPT's I recently did... This guy bends over backwards to make things right, get you what you want and need, and NEVER try and rip you off... *

I too have know Chris and Greg a long time. Prices may
be a lil high, but I'll do business with em in a heart beat.

They have made me some good deals on tools I've bought
there and did me right on my Colt SAA I bought from
them a few yrs back. Yea they are in it to make money.
That's why it's a pawn shop and Chris has faced the DOJ/
ATF before. I'll still do business with em in the future.

Funny how for a group of guys who espouse respecting rights and complain that the government doesn't act justly when it comes to those rights, some people still can't understand what principle is. This wasn't about $10 bucks, it was about right and wrong. We already have to deal with criminals and crooks in the government, there is NO reason we should have to deal with criminal behavior in the private sector.

This situation was resolved, so the point is moot. Chris manned up and proved himself to be one of the good guys, but don't make a mistake in thinking this was bitching over 10 or 20 bucks.

True chris did stand up and say he was wrong, but for someone to start with "should i call the feds", and want to hang someone who is doing something everyone wants by bringing in lowers.. You dont like his prices on a PPT, move on. Don't drop a dime and have the DOJ sniffing around and possibly shutting him down. Move on and go somewhere else...

If you are the FFL'r or an employeee of such- THANK YOU. Mistakes happen. Mistakes happen and I know it IS difficult to "believe" some chump off the street until/unless its verified. A GOOD FFL'r will/would verify, a bad one would go on without so much as a blink.

I know that most gun owners I know have long memories. That said, sounds like you're making things right. And to that end, again, thank you. I now fully withfdraw any/all advice for anyone to contact the DOJ.

You're absolutely correct, we shouldn't have to work within the confines of the law, and people shouldn't be held responsible when they do break the law. This isn't a matter of Safeway charging you a buck more for a coke than Rite Aid. Free market economic theory doesn't apply here because this isn't a free market. It's one that's strictly regulated with specific rules regarding conduct. You complain about EB trying to pillage your pocket book for a lower (which definitely doesn't sound kosher), but there's the difference, you can get a lower anywhere if you're willing to put in the effort, virtually anyone can sell a gun, but only a strict few can transfer that gun by law.

Buddyf**ker is a term that keeps coming to mind....
What are you trying to accomplish here? Several "terms" keep coming to mind for me too, but what does expressing them prove or accomplish?

Quoting myself from an earlier post in this thread, and just as suspected, Chris is a good man and very reasonable. Many in this lower parade, are wading into new territory at break-neck speeds, by which they have never had this much volume; these minor and simple "I didn't knows" and "Huhs?" are sure to come up and can in most all cases, be easily resolved. Even if the person to whom you are trying to reach with an understanding does not get it at first, keep a cool head; we did not need the DOJ to help get us these lowers, we needed the FFL Dealers for that, and we don't need the DOJ to help settle differentiation among us, especially when between us buyers and the FFL Dealers.

Chris patched it all up everybody; everyone coming in new to this thread, should read the whole thread before berating the guy. Way to go Chris! And thanks for being one of the few FFL's in the SOCAL area on these lowers!

Since it is regulated, let the person hang HIMSELF with DOJ. Don't run out, and cause a stir, and shut down the pipeline for a few hundred people in the SoCal area for lowers.

Free marketplace allows the person to choose where he wants to spend his money. Regulated or not, if you don't like that he is high, move on. If he is wrong (which he was, and he stepped up), let him hang HIMSELF with the DOJ.

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one. You see a corrupt system as being acceptable so long as it's still a means to an end, I don't.

Exactly my point (except you've got it backwards). "Move on" isn't a choice when there are only a handful of options.

Yes, I agree Chris is a stand up guy for taking this big problem and correcting it. His shop was in violation of the law that we are required to follow. Lets say we have a minimum wage law and everyone needs to make $7/hr and you get places giving only $6/hr. They are in violation of the law, very simple. Just like the guy that comes over and robs you is in violation of the law.

Chris took the backlash and decided to do the right thing. I feel everyone should give him a chance and shop there. WHICH I HAVE ALREADY MADE CLEAR. I also hope that if someone comes in and complains about being overcharged on a previous PPT, he would give them the difference too.

Again, I can crap 10-20 bucks out in a few minutes but it is the principal....

And Mr. StuckinCA, if you do not like my price i was asking for a Leo marked lower, please don't buy it. I have about 250 bucks in cost, fees, time, gas into each of mine. I was asking 450 for it. They are worth 450 to me. We live in a free country and I can sell them for whatever i please. Good luck finding some LEO marked ones they are hard to get. Now, if Chris wants he can sell his lowers for 1000 bucks, he can, nobody can complain! There is no violation of the law see how that concept is different??

I do enjoy laughing on how you tried to undermind me and pretty much label me as a cheat when I was breaking no laws. Get your facts straight buddy.

Andy, please get your facts straight. I was contemplating calling the DOJ, which is a state agency. Not a federal agency

Yes, if i dont like his prices i would go somewhere else. However, he is required by law to only charge a certain amount for a STATE MANDATED transfer, so he must follow that law now. Which he has promised to do. There is no reason to call anyone now since he was able to take care of it himself.

Thanks for the namecalling too, you sound like a mature adult!

If you reread a post, Chris himself said DOJ did a audit and said he was within the law. He can charge the extra 10 for whatever he wants... He was wrong, and corrected his mistake.

Get it right, Its Blue Falcon or Bravo Foxtrot. Keep it in code baby, keep it in code.

Alls well but I still have to say that FFLs willing to do transfers on blackrifles are few and far between, and I dont care if he starts another dros for each firearm or charges what he thinks fair. Technically they all could have told us to eat *** and there wouldnt be a lower in the state right now.

I still dont understand what you are talking about. You declined to do business with me which was fine, I let it go. Why don't you?

I would have to disagree, it seems more agree that the fees should be within the law which is not asking for too much. And no, an FFL is NOT allowed to charge extra for fees with PPT's. It is against the law. Do you understand that?

Problem was corrected and I have made the comment many times to continue shopping at BSP as all is well..

We all have our own opinions but you need to do two things:
                                1. Get your facts straight
                                2. Don't act like a small child with your rude and inappropriate comments (people will take you more seriously)
