Crossroads of West no CCW allowed for the sake of safety?!?

So I was checking out the Crosssroads of the West gun show website and came across this shocking FAQ:

Q: Can I carry a loaded gun in the gun show? I have a Concealed Carry Permit.

A: We respectfully request that you do not bring any loaded firearm into the gun show. Safety is our Number One Priority, and a safe environment in the show can only be maintained if there are no loaded guns in the show.

Sure if it violates the venues policy that's understandable, but saying everyone is safer if you don't CCW.... thats down right anti talk right there.

Sorry if this is a dupe, but I just had to bring this up.

It doesn't really matter what their policy is; its illegal to CCW a loaded firearm at a gunshow. PC 12071.4

The only time that this would be the case is if folks aren't following normal firearms safety protocol. For example, someone is showing someone else a firearm and presumes it is unloaded when it is not.

Now, being the picky-word-guy that I am...you'll notice it says "We respectfully request that you do not..." as opposed to "You may not..."

You can't pull out your CCW and "show someone" without violating the conditions of your permit.

I didn't know there was a PC regarding this issue, that should be on the FAQ, not the anti crap they have on there now.

Not to be rude, but I have to ask. Over 2,000 post and you didn't know about PC12071.4? Have you never been to a California gun show and not seen the posted signs? If you have a CCW you need to be more aware of your surroundings. Ignorance is no excuse and can be costly, money wise.Be safe.

I don't intend to start any time soon (at least not a show in California).

I've never been to a biker rally... I'll go the weekend before.

I went to literally hundreds of computer swap meets in the 80s and early 90s... EVERY show at Pomona and a few at OC from 1987 until '95 or '96.
I haven't been to one since the deals went away and the place got packed with wives pushing strollers and blocking the isles while watching the Slap Chop guy.

Gun shows with 10 day waiting is like a drag race with engines limited to the size of a leaf blower.
