    NRA life memberships

Does anyone know how often The NRA runs that life membership special where current life members can give friends/family discounted life memberships? Isn't it like $300 or something?

    Thanks

Seems like they run it every year or so. It's a great deal for $300 compared to paying the regular $1000. It is also the same exact membership minus any jacket or other promo they give away with the $1000 offer.
I and many other calgunners hooked up those that wanted in on the last one. It's not so much for 'friends' it's for relatives, but we all have a 'distant' relative in our family don't we?...
Keep an eye on the Deals, Sales and Coupons forum. Someone will post the offer when it comes around.

        Usually January-ish.

Actually, I think it is more like Nov-Dec to get people to give it as a Christmas present, either to themselves or others.

I realized a long time ago that a Life Membership is the way to go. Even though I was a poor college student, I joined up and paid it off over time. I didn't know the special program incentive was for relatives only. I'd be glad to sponsor anyone willing to join if you are in fact eligible for the program.

If you are currently an annual member and want to go Life for $500 now, you used to be able to get in here: https://www.nra-activate.com/Default.aspx Enter your annual info and upgrade.

But, remember the money goes to our cause, so saving dollars alone not so much the idea. Feeling good about fighting for your rights is.

I hear ya, and props to anybody that has a grand to get a lifetime membership.

I work seasonally so I have to budget. I'd rather pay the $300 while I'm flush(hopefully) and donate yearly when I have the money coming in.

The membership is just the downpayment.

It isn't always $300, it was $600 this last January-March. Still a bargain if you value your 2A rights.

They're gouging you, then. In April my dad and I (both life members) were looking at getting my son a life membership. It was still $300 then.

Here is the link from the one posted here last December through about March or April. It was $300. I had about 10 relatives here at Calguns benefit from it.

I'd rather grab the $300 membership and spend the balance of the money where I can get much higher ROI.

I signed up a dozen or so "family" members last year. I will try to do the same thing this year when I get the mailing.
