    (2) About a year or so ago someone posted in this forum a link to the contents of a book on Amazon that went over the historic racial bias behind some anti CA gun laws way back in the late 1800s IIRC (perhaps from debates about one of CA's new constitutions). IIRC, it spoke of restricting Chinese, Mexican, and blacks' RKBA being the motivation. Anyone remember what book that was (and that link would be ideal)? Thx
A bill was introduced to ban the state police from issuing FOID cards to certain zip codes last year by a chicago legislator.

Here, here. Sadly, I think that winning has a darwinian effect of taking more and more true believers out of the fight on the other side.

Sigh, it was so much fun watching the anti's tell Circuit Court and SCOTUS Judges that
their legal opinion/argument was "guns are bad,OK" .

A permit costs $100 and must be renewed every three years. In addition, it costs $15 to register each new gun. Permit-holders also must submit an annual registration report.

At least the motion was not granted outright. I have a feeling Gura can frame up his response in a way that will make it nearly impossible for the court to dismiss. The court doesn't seem to high on Chicago's POV, and Chicago has proven they won't do the right thing without being dragged kicking and screaming.

At this point the court must surely realize that unless they step in with a decision/opinion in writing, that Chicago will just continue to play the same games. I am optimistic. The writings of the 7th circuit so far have demonstrated a lack of tolerance for corrupt politicians looking to deny rights.

Now we just need to wait two more weeks and we'll have shall issue in California

They'll hear about Ezell and 7C on Monday August 29th, when Gura files the response to District's recent MTD is my guess...should be loud and clear I'm betting...
