    AR pistol

Please forgive me if this has been brought up a billion times, but im getting mixed info. And frankly I like not being a felon. I've made a lower out of an 80% and. I wanna make a pistol with a single shot sled and 10.5 barrel. My question is do I have to put a make model and serial on it and does it have to be registered with doj? If not can someone point me to a legal piece of paper explaining such? Please im getting conflicting info. I want to be sure.

No make, model, etc. needed for personal use. If you ever want to sell it (not your original intent), it must have: make, model, serial, caliber, city, state, .003" deep, .125 tall.

Sorry, but I am unable to provide proof at this point.

Search in the "gunsmithing" section here.

    ETA** Hoffmang's thread.

I know it doesn't have to be registered if you don't want it to. I don't believe you need a make/model nor a serial unless you plan on selling/transfering it.

Best thing to do IMO is to shoot a PM onto BWiese, Oaklander or HofmanG.

The single shot sled (with bullet button) is only required when you first "manufacture" the pistol, after that you can convert it in to a semi-auto 10 round fixed magazine (bullet button) pistol.

Just make sure you don't violate the roster of "not in-safe" handguns or make a pistol "assault weapon".

Yes, we can. many people on here have made their own, or purchased them. Do a quick search on here to find out how to do so legally.

One of the primary advantages of voluntary registration is if you ever made the gigantic mistake of violating PC 12025, it would be charged as a misdemeanor if registered to you, but as a felony if not. If you don't register it, check your case and locks twice....

So the general Consensus is that I do not need to register it as long as I build it as a single shot (then use ten round mags only) with a bullet button. I will never sell this so im good right?
